The girls, Barky and I decided to see what the eastern parts of the city looks like 4 months after Katrina blew through. The pictures we took are not isolated areas but are representative of most of New Orleans. It's Sunday but we saw work crews trying to clear debris and trees from the roads. Residents were in their homes salvaging what they could. No one lives in these areas. There is no electricity, telephone, etc. Some places have water. We past cassie's boyfriends house and saw him and his parents trying to retrieve some things.
